Miss Teen USA 2009 Recap - Getting to Know Miss Teen USA 2009

Crossville’s Stormi Henley went on a trip to Nassau, The Bahamas and is returning with a one of a kind souvenir – the 2009 Miss Teen USA tiara.

The daughter of Chattanooga native and professional golf caddy Kip Henley, who won the Golf Channel’s “The Big Break” a few seasons ago, will now be capitalizing on her once in a lifetime opportunity after becoming just the second Tennessee entrant to win the Teen USA title Friday night at the Atlantis Paradise Island Resort.

The 18-year-old graduate of Cumberland County High School won the Tennessee preliminary on Oct. 8 in Clarksville. In 1997, Shelly Moore became the first Volunteer State representative to win the Teen crown since the pageant’s inception in 1984 as the younger version of the Miss USA Pageant.

Miss Georgia Brooke Fletcher, who was Miss Henley’s roommate during the competition, was first runner-up.

Miss Henley will be based in New York during her year of service for the organization that is owned by real estate mogul Donald Trump. She will make appearances with her “sister” titleholders Miss USA Kristen Dalton and the new Miss Universe who will be crowned later this month.
