Miss West Broward USA &  Miss West Broward Teen USA January 30, 2011     Our 2013 delegates during the show opening     This week’s stop on The Road to State celebrates the ninth anniversary of the Miss West Broward USA Pageant. Held at The Marriott Hotel and Resort on Heron Bay the six Miss USA and seven Miss Teen USA contestants took the stage to an enthusiastic and sold out audience. Hosted by Miss West Broward USA 2012 Monika Paez  and Miss West Broward Teen USA 2012 Brianne Bailey as the standing room only crowd celebrated the return of the pageant to Coral Springs.   The evening started with a dance number starring our West Broward delegates. Then it was time for self introductions which allowed the audience and judges could to gain insight before the two competitions began. First up were swimsuits as the delegates hit the stage in one or two piece suits of their own choosing. Then it was the audience’s favorite as fashion was on display in the Evening Gown competition. Earlier in the day the Interview Competition took place with the delegates and judges in a panel style format.         Kristine Ho Tung (black), Miss Carvajal  (pink)  and Ms. Skalski  (peach)  in swimsuits of their own choosing.     Maurisha Williams (white), Taylor Torino (lavandar) and Ashley Harris (peach)  in evening gowns of their own choosing     After the judging was over it was time for the Miss West Broward Teen USA Results: The 1st Runner Up is Jessica Carvajal   The first ever Miss North Broward Teen USA 2013 is Nicole Soto! The new Miss West Broward Teen USA 2013 is Alyssa Rudolph!   Then the Miss West Broward USA Delegates were asked to move center stage for the results: The 1st Runner Up is Tifany Skalski   The first ever Miss North Broward USA 2013 is Kiley Coleman!   The new Miss West Broward USA 2013 is Jessica Santiago!        Miss Soto’s and Ms. Coleman’s winning moment     Congratulations to Miss Soto, Miss Rudolph, Ms. Coleman and Ms. Santiago as each wins a ticket to our state pageant championships! A big hand also goes to Executive Producer Barbara Ewald and her outstanding group of volunteers who made this a memorable evening.
