Miss West Volusia USA &  Miss West Volusia Teen USA December 04, 2011   Brigette Hayashi introduces herself to the audience / Ashley McKenzie  answers her onstage question from Miss Hayes     The year’s final stop on The Road to Hollywood saw a Sunday twilight pageant as we made our annual visit to Ormond Beach. The contest saw two titles up for grabs as the eight delegates competed for the titles of Miss West Volusia County USA & Miss Deland USA. The beautiful Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center was our host location as a fun day of friendship and pageantry awaited. It was also the final stop of the calendar year that began in January and made its final stop on Sunday.   An enthusiastic audience awaited as hostesses Amenia Lowrey (Miss West Volusia County USA 2011) and Emily McCloud (Miss West Volusia Teen USA)  kept the show flowing and added insightful commentary during the breaks. The competition started with contestant introductions in their red (USA) or white (Teen USA) cocktail dresses then continued with the onstage interview competition.  Next was The Swimsuit Competition that was followed by everyone’s favorite, The Evening Gown Competition with the delegates fashion sense is on display.       Ms. Ferritto (peach), Lindsey Nelson (white) and Cristine Neal (purple) in the swimsuit competition   Ms. Danish (white), Ms. Eschbach (pearl) and Stephanie Torres (blue) in the Evening Gown competition       Then the entire cast returned onstage for the final act. Before the results were announced it was time to announce to the special award winners. Miss Amity award went to Marissa Danish and Miss Photogenic was awarded to Ashley McKenzie. These winners qualify for them for the state pageant this July in Hollywood.   Before it was time to announce the winners, we crowned our;  Our new Miss West Volusia County USA 2013 is Jordyn Johnson. Then it was time for the Miss West Volusia USA Results: The first runner up is Catherine Ferritto The first ever Miss Deland USA 2013 is Lauren Eschbach Our new Miss West Volusia County USA 2013 is Marissa Danish       Miss Johnson; Miss Eschbach and  and Ms. Danish are all smiles after hearing their winning announcements       What a wonderful weekend of pageantry it always is in Volusia County as I would like to thank our hard working volunteers really went all out for their ladies! A big congratulation’s goes to Miss Jorand, Ms. Eschbach and Ms. Lowrey on a job well done! We now close up the Road to Hollywood for the year as it was one outstanding season. Thank you to all our fans, friends, parents, contestants, coaches, trainers, vendors, directors and anyone else I might have forgotten. Next up is Miss Ft.
