Miss West Broward USA &  Miss West Broward Teen USA February 2, 2008   The Road To Hollywood made its annual stop in Plantation for fifth edition of The Miss West Broward USA Pageant.  eleven delegates competed for the two titles Saturday evening at The Township Center for Performing Arts. The hostess for the evening was Miss Florida USA 2004 Anastagia Pierre who was joined by Caroline Lunny Miss Massachusetts Teen USA 2008 as they welcomed the enthusiastic audience. Then the five Miss USA and six Miss Teen USA delegates along with Miss West Broward USA 2008 Sulema Sanchez and Miss West Broward Teen USA 2008 Michelle Chaban stared in the opening production number.    After the applause completed the audience and judges were in store for the delegates and was followed by the swimsuit competition as the delegates competed in either one or two-piece suits of their own choosing. Then singer Gia Latti entertained before The Evening Gown Competition as fashion was on display as the delegate competed in gowns of their own choosing.   After a vocal performance by Shana Paredes it was time to call the entire cast to retake the stage, the special awards of the evening were presented as these winners qualifiy for state. First was Miss Amity and the winners were Alexis Licari (WBTUSA) & Kristen Kelly (USA). Miss Photogenic went to Dara von Hollander (WBTUSA) and Derly Rosas (WBUSA).   In a pageant tradition it was time for Miss Chaban & Ms. Sanchez to take their last walks of their titles before fans, friends and family. Then the final results were announced with Miss West Broward Teen USA being read first: 2nd Runner Up is Tiana Guillermo 1st Runner Up is Meghan Roberts The new Miss West Broward Teen USA 2009 is Dara von Hollander!   Then it was time to announce the new Miss West Broward USA: 1st Runner Up is Elizabeth “Beth” Cabello The new Miss West Broward USA 2009 is Andrea Sullivan!         Miss von Hollander is the new Miss West Broward Teen 2009       Ms. Sullivan’s winning moment           What a great evening of pageantry! Congratulations to Miss von Hollander and Ms. Sullivan as they have a pass to state and Pageant Director Barbara Ewald along with her outstanding group of volunteers who ran an outstanding pageant. Job well done! Now the Road To Hollywood ventures south on I-95 to South Miami and Sunset Place for the annual super pageant! It’s time to crown team Sunset Place USA as eight titles are up for grabs next weekend on the first step towards Miss USA & Teen USA!
