Miss Volusia County USA &  Miss Volusia County Teen USA May 31, 2009     We returned to the OBPAC for the eighth year       The Road to Hollywood ventured north on I-95 to Volusia County for the tenth anniversary Miss Volusia County USA 2010. The beautiful Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center hosted the year ending finale as “The Road to Hollywood” completed its season on Sunday. Hosted by Miss South Miami USA 2010 Megan Clemente and Miss Florida Teen USA 2010 Kayla Collier who opened the show and introduced the three Miss Teen USA in their white cocktail dresses and six Miss USA delegates in their red cocktail dresses the evening got off to an exciting start.       Miss Lowrey, Ms. Higuera and Ms. Elwell in their opening cocktail dresses       Miss Perry is interview by Ms. Clementi and Miss Bedenbaugh / Ms. Davis introduces herself to the audience and judges       Before a large and boisterous crowd the pageant preceded with the traditional onstage interview, swimsuit and evening gown competitions. Onstage interviews allowed the judges and audience to see their ability to dance on the feet. With the competition complete it was time to honor Miss Volusia County USA 2010 Megan Clemente, Miss Space Coast Teen USA Angela Bedenbaugh and Miss Orlando Teen USA Kimberly Johnson who severed admirably during their reigns.         Miss Ward (light blue), Ms. Lowrey (white) and Ms. Chambers (peach) in swimsuits of their own choosing       The Miss Volusia County USA 2010 swimsuit competition       Before the results were announced it was time for the best of pageant awards which qualify the delegates for the state pageant. Up first was Miss Amity and that went to Stephanie Chambers while Miss Photogenic was presented to Marianna Higuera.         Awaiting the judges results       Finally Miss Collier was handed the results from the judging panel. And they were in this order with the Teen USA competition up first: The 2nd Runner Up is Crystal Davis The 1st Runner Up is Ginnette Ward Miss Volusia County Teen USA 2010 is Kristen Perry           Then it was time for the Miss Volusia County USA results as the delegates were called to center stage: The 1st Runner Up is Heather Elwell The 10th Miss Daytona Beach USA 2010 is Amanda Zitzman The new Miss Volusia County USA 2010 is Stephanie Chambers         Miss Perry’s, Ms. Zitzman’s and Ms. Chambers winning moments           Congratulations on another great day of pageantry for our Central Florida USA Family in Daytona Beach. Thank you to Sherian Stevenson, Charles Lee and of course Kim Decker Antos and my hard working volunteers who presented another great opportunity for the regions young women. Also congratulations to Ms. Zitzman, Ms. Chambers and Miss Perry and they make up Team Daytona USA for a fun year and passage to state.   Thus ends our 2010 “Road to Hollywood” Season, we want to thank our delegates, directors, volunteers, judges, little sisters, staff and fans for another exciting year in The Sunshine State! Now all eyes are on Hollywood this July for another spectacular state championship.
