Miss SW Florida USA &  Miss SW Florida Teen USA May 31, 2009     View from US41       The final pageant weekend began with The Road To Hollywood venturing on I-75 to the third Miss Southwest Florida USA Pageant. The title represents the region covered by Naples to Sarasota. For the first time ever in Charlotte County the competition took place Saturday afternoon in Punta Gorda at The Charlotte Harbor Expo and Convention Center. Hosted by Miss Southwest Florida USA Kathleen Patton Miss Southwest Florida Teen USA 2009 Danielle Pierce, Miss Naples USA 2010 Melissa Utvich and Miss Fort Myers Teen USA 2010 Maicie Clark. The first pageant ever in this beautiful new venue was then kicked into high gear.         Ms. Guevara (light blue), Ms. DeCastro (darker blue) and Ms. De Frota (darkest blue) in the Evening gown competition.         Ms. De Frota in her opening cocktail dress / Ms. DeCastro is interviewed by Ms. Patton       The ten Miss Teen USA delegates opened the show with self-introductions. The Teen USA delegates were in pink “mark of beauty” tee shirts with black shorts. This was the first chance the audience had to meet the young ladies. Then the pageantry competition resumed as it was time for the swimwear competition, the delegates competed in one-piece suits of their own choosing. Then it was everyone favorite, the evening gown competition showed the delegates flair for fashion. All competitions ended with group comparison judging.       Miss Camacho (grey), Ms. Meisner (black) and Ms. Pavlenko (blue) in swimwear of their own choosing       As soon as the votes were tabulated by the official auditor the results were handed to Ms. Utvich to read the judges results. Up first was the Miss Photogenic award for the pageant, all of which qualified the winner to the state pageant: Miss Photogenic was presented to Olivia DeCastro while Miss Amity went to Dubraska Guevara.         Onstage with our new Little Sisters and titleholders during the mid-show crownings         Then Ms. Utvich and Miss Clark called to the front of the stage the finalists and read the results for the title of Miss Southwest Florida USA: 1st Runner Up is Olivia DeCastro The first ever Miss Charlotte County USA 2010 is Anastagia Pavlenko! Miss Southwest Florida USA 2010 is Samantha Meisner!               Miss Camacho, Ms. Pavlenko and Ms. Meisner during their winning moments           It was truly a great day of pageantry. Congratulations to Miss Camacho, Ms Pavlenko and Ms. Meisner on their victories and entries to state in Hollywood.
