Miss South Florida USA &  Miss South Florida Teen USA November 13, 2011   The panel style interview competition takes place with Ms. Acevado meeting the judges   On a beautiful Sunday afternoon The Road to Hollywood paid a visit for the first time to Hialeah Gardens for the revival of the Miss South Florida USA and Teen USA titles. This was the fourth edition of the title that was worn last year by Miss Florida USA Karina Brez before she won the prestigious title. The delegates began the show in either black (USA) or white (Teen USA) cocktail dresses as the enthusiastic audience greeted the delegates as they hit the stage at the Hialeah Gardens Best Western Plaza resort.     Kelsey Thiele in her opening cocktail dress     Hosting the afternoon were Miss Homestead USA 2012 Ana Laura Tapia and Miss Florida Keys USA 2012 Angela Overton. The pageant began with self- introductions as they met the adoring audience. Each delegate then returned for the swimsuit and evening gown competitions. Before the onstage portions of the contest a panel style interview competition took place prior to the stage show.     First up were the special awards for the weekend. Miss Amity was awarded to Caroline Bustamante. While the Miss Photogenic award went to both Nikita Chenet and Gianina Acevado as they now have qualified for Miss Florida USA and Teen USA Pageants later this year in Hollywood.        The Miss South Florida USA Swimwear Competition.     Ms. Chenet (yellow), Ms. Hill (blue) and Ms. Serrano (beige)  in the Evening Gown competition     Then the stage was left to the Miss South Florida Teen USA contestants as it was time to read the results; The first runner up was Natalie Gonzalez The new Miss Miami Springs Teen USA 2013 is J’Len Bester The new Miss South Florida Teen USA 2013 is Genavieve Paige Boue.   The pageant concluded with the Miss South Florida USA results; The first runner up is a tie between Margaret Hill and Mayvic Serrano The new Miss South Florida USA 2013 is Giania Acevado!     Miss Boue’s winning moment       Congratulations to the new Team South Florida USA of Miss Bester, Miss Boue and Ms. Acevado as they represent South Florida this summer in Hollywood. Also a big thank you goes to Pageant Director Fatima Coello and her hard working volunteers as pageantry returned in a big way to West Miami-Dade. Up next on the Road to Hollywood is a trip north on I-95 for the annual Miss Broward County Fair celebration next Saturday in Pembroke Pines.           Team Miss South Florida USA 2013
