Miss Ormond Beach USA &  March 15, 2008   Team Daytona Beach USA with Ms. Rafalowski  and Miss Florida Teen USA 2008 Jillian Wunderlich   The Road to Hollywood ventured north on I-95 to Volusia County for the third Miss Ormond Beach USA 2009 Pageant. Kim Decker and her production team presented the dance and pageant spectacle that is pageantry in Volusia County. The beautiful Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center hosted this second visit to The Speedway City of the season.   With a “Viva Las Vegas” theme the delegates and reigning titleholders hit the stage for a fun opening dance production to the Elvis Presley original that had the audience on their feet. Led by Miss Daytona Beach USA Emily Kuchar and Miss Volusia County USA Megan Clementi the six delegates competing for the title showed their dance moves.   Then it was our very own Miss Florida USA 2008 Jessica Rafalowski who opened the show and thanked the attendees who joined her for her “Going Away to Miss USA” Party prior to the pageant. It was announced by Ormond Beach Mayor --- that it was “Jessica Rafalowski Miss Florida USA Day” in Volusia County.            Ms. Johnson accepting her Miss Photogenic Trophy (left) & ms. Chambers accepts her Peoples Choice Award     Joined on the podium by Ms. Kuchar and Ms. Clementi the pageant preceded with the traditional swimsuit and evening gown competitions. Onstage interviews allowed the judges and audience to see their ability to dance on the feet. With the competition complete it was time to honor Miss Ormond Beach USA 2008 Erin McKinnon who severed admirably during her reign.         Ms. Coburn awaits the announcement     Before the results were announced it was time for the best of pageant awards which qualify the delegates for the state pageant. Up first was The Peoples Choice and that went to  Stephanie Chambers. While Miss Amity was Denesha Jenkins and Miss Photogenic was Noelle Johnson.       The final announcement awaits…..       Finally Ms. Rafalowski was handed the results from the judging panel. And they were in this order: The 2nd Runner Up is Noelle Johnson The 1st Runner Up is Lynsey Coburn Miss Ormond Beach USA 2009 is Denesha Jenkins        Ms. Jenkins is the new Miss Ormond Beach USA!         Congratulations on another great day of pageantry for our Central Florida USA Family in Daytona Beach. Pageant Director Kim Antos and her hard working volunteers presented another great opportunity for the regions young women. Also congratulations to Ms. Jenkins and she joins Team Daytona USA for a fun year and passage to state. Up next is Super Saturday as eight titles will be handed out in such far reaching locales as Pensacola, Jacksonville, Lakeland and The Gold Coast (Palm Beaches) for a hectic Easter Weekend!
