Miss Miami Lakes USA & Teen USA Results January 23, 2010       The evening began with a high energy opening number     The first stop on The Road to Hollywood this decade was in Northwest Miami Dade for the inaugural Miss Miami Lakes USA Pageant. Held at The Performing Arts Center on the campus of Miami Lakes Middle School as the eight Miss USA  contestant’s took the stage to an enthusiastic and sold out audience. Hosted by Dusin Greenwell and Adriana Parra-Simon with assistance by Miss Miami USA 2010 Tatiana Santos, the evening had a great energy as we ventured into new pageant territory.       Ms. Yoham introduces herself during the show opening         Ms. Querol during her onstage interview       The evening started with a song and dance number starring special guest Stephanie Carcache and our Miami Lakes delegates. Then it was time for self introductions which allowed the audience and judges could to gain insight before the two competitions began. First up were swimsuits as the delegates hit the stage in one or two piece suits of their own choosing. Then it was the audience’s favorite as fashion was on display in the Evening Gown competition.       Ms. Green (olive print), Ms. Medal (blue) and  Ms Benitez (blue) in evening gowns of their own choosing       The delegates await the decision.       Ms Rivera (black), Ms. Gonzalez (light blue) and Ms. Baron (animal print) in swimsuits of their own choosing.         After the judging was over it was time for the Miss Miami Lakes USA Results: The 1st Runner Up is Elisse Marie Rivera The new Miss Miami Lakes USA 2011 is Shayra Medal!         Ms Medal’s winning moment       Congratulations to Ms. Medal as she wins a ticket to Hollywood and the state championships! A big hand also goes to Executive Producer Manny Diaz and Line Producer Chanel Prada and their outstanding group of volunteers who made this a memorable evening.
