The Road to Hollywood visited The Capital of The America’s as in the Magic City we had a highly competitive Miss Miami USA & Teen USA Pageant as seventeen delegates awaited. The Grand Ballroom at The Miami Merchandise Mart Double Tree Hotel hosted the tenth Miss Miami USA Pageant, which is one of the original six prelims and carries on the tradition in Florida’s largest city. An enthusiastic crowd came to cheer on the eight Miss Teen USA and nine Miss  USA delegates.

 

The both shows started with the delegates introducing themselves to the audience and judges. The color of choice for the introductions was brown as each wore a matching dress during the self-introduction openings. After the openings it was time to introduce our Mistress of Ceremonies, Miss Miami USA 2010 Tatiana Santos and Miss Miami Teen USA 2010 Vania Pedraja.

The Miami Teen USA delegates Interview Competition was onstage with three questions from their bio and then a random question from the ceremonial fish bowl. The Miami USA delegates competed in The Interview Competition in panel style judging prior to the evenings show. Both swimsuit competitions featured delegates in swimwear of their own choosing. Then it was everyone’s favorite The Evening Gown Competition was up next. Fashion was on display as the delegate competed in gowns of their own choosing.

After the traditional final speeches and walks were presented by both Miss Pedraja and Ms. Santos that were very touching and a special memento was given onstage by Team Miami USA to Pageant Director Rose Martinez. Afterwards a special announcement was made that a second title – Miss Pinecrest USA & Teen USA would be added due to the competitiveness of the delegates. As the cast was called onstage it was time to announce the results beginning with The Miss Miami Teen USA Division:

Miss Pinecrest Teen USA 2011 is Carolyn Rubido
Miss Miami Teen USA 2011 is Jeannette Rosell

What a great evening of pageantry! Congratulations to Team Miami USA members Miss Rubido, Miss Rosell, Ms. Gonzalez and Ms. Aguiar as they now go to state representing the Magic City of Miami. Congratulations also goes to the Miami Tropics Scholarship Organization for another job well done. Now the Road To Hollywood ventures North on I-95 to Duval County and Miss Jacksonville as our Super Weekend concludes with 8 titleholders in two days!
