The Road to Hollywood started the long journey this past weekend with the 11th annual Miss Miami Tropics Scholarship Pageant. The event saw a highly competitive afternoon of pageantry. The Miami Merchandise Mart’s Double Tree Hotel Grand Ballroom hosted the celebration of Florida’s Magic City. An enthusiastic crowd came to cheer on the seven delegates in the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA divisions amongst the various titles and the boisterous crowd was greeted with lunch in the fashion show setting and then the pageant was on!

With the delegates introducing themselves to the audience and judges it was time to start the afternoon. Our Mistress of Ceremonies, Miss Puerto Rico 2004 Desiree Sardo along with Local CBS Channel 4’s George Estevez as they kept the proceedings upbeat and fun. The first order of the competition featured swimwear or their choosing. Then it was everyone’s favorite The Evening Gown Competition was up next. Fashion was on display as the delegate competed in gowns of their own choosing.

The Miami Teen USA delegates Interview Competition was onstage with a random question from the ceremonial fish bowl. Before the tabulations were completed the attendees were treated to a fashion show by South Florida designer Kathy Regolado. The show featured past titleholders from the MMT family.
