Miss Lakeland USA &  Miss Lakeland Teen USA April 6, 2012   “The Road to Hollywood” made its annual stop in Polk County for the ninth edition of Miss Lakeland USA & Miss Lakeland Teen USA. Held at Lakeland Civic Center this was the birthplace of the Miss Teen USA Pageant as well as the home to two Miss USA contestants and for ten years Miss Florida Teen USA. The Lake Hollingsworth Grand Ballroom greeted the four Miss Teen USA delegates and three Miss USA delegates in their white or red cocktail dresses as they introduced themselves to the audience and the pageant was on.    Catherine Ferrito in her opening outfit / Miss Maynard (pink), Alexandria Davis  (red); and Hayley Eisenhardt  (yellow) in the Swimsuit Competition (above) / Kelsey Guyan (pink), Sarah Wingo (powder blue) and  Ms. Edwards (light blue) in Evening Gowns of their own choosing (below)     The hostesses for the afternoon were Miss Sanford Teen USA 2014 Kennedy McClain and Miss Orlando USA 2014 Carolina Guzman as well as Miss Tampa Ban Teen USA 2014 Olivia Caputo as they kept the competition fun and flowing throughout the afternoon. After setting up the evening’s competition it was time for the delegates to compete in the traditional competitions onstage. Swimwear began the competition followed by Evening Gowns of the delegates choosing and of course the delegates had to tackle the interview questions onstage.    After the traditional farewell speeches it was time to announce the results as the following finalist are qualified to compete at state latter this year. The results started with The Teen USA Division: The First Runner Up is Sarah Wingo The New Miss Lakeland Teen USA 2014 is Jessica Maynard   Then it was on to announce the USA Division results where two titles were in play: The new Miss Lakeland USA 2014 is Rolana Edwards     Miss Maynard’s and Ms. Edward’s winning moments       What a great pageant it was as a well-earned congratulation’s goes to Miss Maynard and Ms. Edwards on their new titles and entry to state in Hollywood!
