The Road to Miss Florida USA venture to the southernmost pageant in the United States as it was time for the fourth edition of Miss Florida Keys USA. Held at the beautiful Coral Shores Performing Arts Center four Miss USA contestants and four Miss Teen USA delegates competed for the tiaras and the chance to represent the Conch Republic at Miss Florida USA and Miss Florida Teen USA.

The competition started with the delegates introducing themselves in their red (USA) or white (Teen USA) cocktail dresses. They were introduced by the afternoon hosting team of Miss Homestead Teen USA 2012 Anais Vallejo and her sister queen Miss Homestead USA 2012 Ana Laura Martinez Tapia handled the podium while they received assistance during the interview competition from Cassi McFarland, Miss Tallahassee Teen USA 2012.

The opening competition was the onstage interviews as they answered questions drawn at random. The swimsuit competition was next as the delegates wore one or two-piece suits of there own choosing. Then it was everybody’s favorite the evening gown competition. First the teen delegates and then the miss delegates all had the chance to show off their personal fashion sense.

Then all was left was to announce the special prizes and the results for the Miss Florida Keys USA pageant. The special awards were up first as our winners are qualified for state. The delegates voted Miss Amity to be Katherine Vazquez . while our staff photographers voted the Miss Photogenic award to Annelissa Machado.

Then it was time to bring the Miss Florida Keys Teen USA delegates center

stage as the results were read to the judges and audience:

Congratulations to Ms. Overton along with Miss Perez as they represent The Conch Republic at state this upcoming July and October. Next week we have the final full slate of pageants as Saturday we return to Brevard County for Miss Melbourne USA + Teen USA while Sunday its south on I-95 to Palm Beach County for the first edition of Miss Wellington USA + Teen USA.
