Miss Hallandale USA &

Miss Hallandale Teen USA

March 13, 2011

The Road to Hollywood ventured to our southernmost town on the mainland as it was time for the second annual Miss Homestead USA & Teen USA Pageants. Held at the Hampton Inn and Suites before a lively and vocal audience the afternoon featured two Miss Teen USA and three Miss USA delegates as they competed for the two tiaras and the chance to represent Homestead at both the Miss Florida USA and Miss Florida Teen USA competitions.

The competition started with the delegates introducing themselves in their green (USA) or white (Teen USA) cocktail dresses. They were introduced by the afternoon’s hostesses Miss Homestead USA 2011 Katherine Patton and Miss Homestead Teen USA Marilyn Rodriguez. After the opening introductions the competition began with the onstage interviews as the Teen USA delegates were up first followed next the Miss USA delegates as they answered questions drawn at random.

The swimsuit competition was first as the delegates wore one or two-piece suits of there own choosing. Then it was everybody’s favorite the evening gown competition. First the teen delegates and then the miss delegates all had the chance to show off their personal fashion sense.

Then all was left was to announce the special prizes and the results for the Miss Homestead USA pageant. The special awards were up first as our winners are qualified for state. The delegates voted Miss Amity to be Tayla Neale. While our staff photographers voted the Miss Photogenic award to both Karina Alvarez and Sarai Toston.
