Miss Homestead USA &  Miss Homestead Teen USA April 25, 2010       Yvey Escarra answers the onstage  question from Damaris Aguiar     Today on The Road to Hollywood was the inaugural Miss Homestead USA & Teen USA Pageant. Held at the Hampton Inn and Suites before a standing room audience the afternoon featured four Miss Teen USA and ten Miss USA delegates competed for four tiaras and the chance to represent the states southernmost land based city at both Miss Florida USA and Miss Florida Teen USA.   The competition started with the delegates introducing themselves in their red (USA) or white (Teen USA) cocktail dresses. They were introduced by the afternoon’s hostess Alyssa Rivera, the reigning Miss Florida Teen USA. The opening competition was the onstage interviews as the Teen USA delegates were up first followed next the Miss USA delegates as they answered questions drawn at random.         Darleny Jaramillo introduces herself to the judges       The swimsuit competition was first as the delegates wore one or two-piece suits of there own choosing. Then it was everybody’s favorite the evening gown competition. First the teen delegates and then the miss delegates all had the chance to show off their personal fashion sense.           Ms. Duane (purple), Ms. Beauregaurd (aqua) and Ms. Scales (mustard) in the swimsuit competition.     Miss Cooper (white), Ms. Milan (blue) Ms. Patton (red) in evening gowns of their selection   Then all was left was to announce the special prizes and the results for the Miss Homestead USA pageant. The special awards were up first as our winners are qualified for state. The delegates voted Miss Amity to be Burgess Duane. While our staff photographers voted the Miss Photogenic award to Maria Milan.     Before the results were read a special announcement was made that because of the stellar competition two new titles in the USA division would be awarded. Up first was the Homestead Teen USA results: 1st Runner Up is Natasha Cooper The New Miss Homestead Teen USA is Marilyn Rodriquez!   After the presentations it was time for the Miss USA announcements to complete the competition: 2nd Runner Up is Princess Beauregaurd 1st Runner Up is Maria Milan Miss Islamorada USA 2011 is Katerina White Miss South Florida USA 2011 is Ana Christina Alvarez The New Miss Homestead USA is Kathleen Patton!       Marilyn Rodriquez wins the first ever  Miss Homestead Teen USA title   Congratulations to Miss Rodriquez, Ms. White, Ms. Alvarez and Ms. Patton as they represent the historic town of Homestead at state.
