Onstage comparison Evening Gown judging

 

 

The Road to Hollywood made its second visit to Gator Country for the seventh annual Miss Gainesville & North Central Florida USA & Teen USA Pageants. Eleven Miss USA and nine Miss Teen USA Delegates competed for the two titles that were awarded in each division. On a perfect spring afternoon an enthusiastic audience awaited the delegates at The Oak Hall Theater.

The show began with the delegates introducing themselves onstage to the judges and audience. Then we meet the hosting team for the day, Miss Marion County USA 2009 Lucette Pierre-Louis, Miss Alachua County USA 2009  Lindsey Boelnder, Miss Alachua County Teen 2009 Brookell Barber and Miss Marion County Teen 2009 is Kelly Haffner. Once we meet our delegates and hostesses it was then time to get down to the competition.

First up in the judging was onstage interviews and self introductions. Each delegate presented themselves to the judges with accomplishments, goals and aspirations. Then they blind drew an onstage question to show their ability to think on their feet. Then the traditional competitions of Evening Gowns and Swimwear completed the afternoon.

After farewell presentations from Nikki Rhodes, Miss Gainesville USA 2008; Noelle Johnson, Miss North Central Florida USA 2008 and Lauren Harmon, Miss Gainesville Teen USA 2008 it was time to bring the delegate back onstage for the results. Up first were the Miss Teen USA special awards, Miss Photogenic is Danielle Pierce and Miss Amity is Natalie Martinez. The Miss USA Special Awards were next, Miss Photogenic is Victoria Ratliff and Miss Amity is Courtney McKenzie.

 

 

Then it was time to get to business. First the results in the Miss Teen USA division:

3rd Runner Up is Angel Bedenbaugh

2nd Runner Up is Danielle Pierce

1st Runner Up is Becca Burlingame

The new Miss North Central Florida Teen USA 2009 is Katherine Greene

The new Miss Gainesville Teen USA 2009 is Natalie Martinez

Congratulations to Chelsee Atkins and her hard working staff and volunteers on another great event in Alachua County! Also congratulations go to Miss Greene, Miss Martinez, Ms. Castles and Ms. Ratcliff as they comprise team Gainesville USA in Hollywood this year! Up next on The Road to Hollywood we head south on I-95 to Miss Miami USA next Saturday and then a long road trip on Sunday to Miss Emerald Coast USA in Panama City.
