Miss Charlotte County USA &  Miss Charlotte County Teen USA November 6, 2011   Ms. Conn introduces herself to the audience while Ms. Best models her opening red cocktail dress       The second pageant of the young season in Southwest Florida saw The Road to Hollywood venture North on I-75 to The Charlotte County USA & Teen USA Pageants. The competition took place as a Sunday matinee onstage at The Charlotte Harbor Expo and Conference Center in Punta Gorda. Hosted by Miss Southwest Florida USA 2013 Ashleigh Hodges and Miss Charlotte County Teen USA 2012 Sara Huddleston the pageant was ready to kick into high gear.   The Miss Teen USA delegates opened the show with self-introductions in their white cocktail dresses while the USA division introduced themselves in their red cocktail dresses. This was the first chance the audience had to meet the young ladies and then gained insight into their public speaking abilities with the onstage interview competition. The pageantry continued with swimwear of one or two piece suits of their own choosing. Then it was everyone favorite, the evening gown competition showed the delegates flair for fashion. Up first was the Miss Photogenic award for the pageant, all of which qualified the winner to the state: Miss Photogenic was presented to Anika Langaigne, then Miss Amity was announced and Sarah Wingo wins the afternoon’s friendliest award.   Then the Charlotte County Teen USA delegates were called to the front of the stage and read the results: 1st Runner Up is Alexandra Porter Miss Charlotte County Teen USA 2013 is Brenna McKenna!   Finally the Charlotte County USA delegates were called to the front of the stage and read the results: Miss Punta Gorda USA 2013 is Kasey Conn  Miss Charlotte County USA 2013 is Natalie Best!      Miss McKenna and Ms. Best’s crowning moment     It was truly a great day of pageantry. Congratulations to Ms. Best, Ms. Conn and Miss McKenna on their entries to state in Hollywood. Also a big thank you to the days dedicated staff of volunteers who put together one fun afternoon of pageantry.
