Miss Capital City USA &  Miss Capital City Teen USA October 6, 2011   Ms. Tanney during the onstage interview / Ms. Witowski in her introduction outfit     On a lovely fall Sunday afternoon our preliminary pageant season kicked off in Northern Florida as we paid a visit to Tallahassee. The fourth edition of Miss Capital City USA began our two pageant circuit in Leon County. The nine Miss USA contestants hit the stage in their cocktail dresses as the enthusiastic audience and camera’s greeted the delegates. The historic Moore Auditorium on the campus of Florida State University saw the enthusiastic     Hosting the afternoon were Tallahassee ABC 27 News Personality and Miss Capital City USA 2012 Kristen Ludlow along with her sister queen Miss Capital City Teen USA 2012 Jessica Rumbach. The pageant began with self introductions that were followed by the interview competition. Each delegate presented a speech about the delegates themselves then they drew a question and then answered before the judges and audience. The competition concluded with the swimsuit and evening gown presentations in fashions of their own choosing.         Miss Tanney (black),  Mattie Barwick (aqua) and Ms. Osoba (red) in Swimsuits  of their own choosing (above) / Ms. Turner (black & white), Ms. Cowan (green) and Ms. Kelley (gold & white) in the Evening Gown Competition (below)       For their finals walks Miss Rumbach and Ms. Ledlow relinquished their hosting duties to Miss Florida Teen USA 2012 Gracie Simmons and Miss Panama City Beach USA 2012 Brooke Brown. They presided over the presentation of the special awards for the evening as Miss Amity went to Lelah Vay Kelly while Miss Photogenic went to Ericka Witowski as this qualifies both for the state championships next July. Before the judges results were presented it was time to crown our first Miss Florida Teen USA delegate.    The new Miss Capital City Teen USA 2013 is Savannah Tanney!   Then it was time for the Miss Capital City USA results as two titles were  to be awarded, but since a tie for the second title incurred it was determined that three tiaras would be presented; The first runner up is Lelah Vay Kelley The first ever Miss Leon County USA 2013 is Christen Cowan! Our third Miss North Florida USA 2013 is Kathleen Turner! The new Miss Tallahassee USA 2012 is Folakemi Osoba!     Ms. Cowan and Ms. Turner during their crowning moments     Congratulations to the new Team Capital City USA of Miss Tanney, Ms. Cowan, Ms. Turner and and Ms. Osoba as they represent our State Capital next year at states. Also a big thank you goes to our new Assistant Pageant Director Michelle Stephen along with our hard working staff and volunteers as pageantry returned in a big way to North Florida.
