Miss Cape Coral USA &  Miss Cape Coral Teen USA March 30, 2008   The Road to Hollywood made its third and final stop of the year in Lee County this past Sunday as Miss Cape Coral USA & Teen USA took center stage in the pageant world. The twilight pageant saw the twenty-three delegates competing for the newest title in the system. The afternoon opened with the news that due to the great competition that a second Miss Florida West Coast USA title along with the matching teen winners would be awarded. The capacity crowd showed their approval as they cheered all afternoon long.          Rachel Collins introduces herself to  the audience to open the show     The Cape Coral Yacht Club Auditorium was the venue and the a large and vocal audience greeted Miss Florida Teen USA 2008 Jillian Wunderlich who was the evening’s hostess along with some assistance from television personality Misha McK who greeted the delegates for opening introductions and the competition was on! The Teen USA delegates introduced themselves first followed by the USA delegates.             Hostess Misha McK during the onstage interview  session with Jennell Casnier       The first competition was swimwear as the delegates competed in one or two piece suits of their own choosing. Then the fashion phase of the competition concluded with Evening Gown’s as it was the delegate’s fashion style on display. Finally the onstage interview competition saw each delegate compete by answering a question off of their biography submissions. During the afternoon the entertainment was provided by The Hot Flashes Dance Team, a local 45 and up dance troupe that was entertaining and charming.             Miss Thomas (Green), Ms. Woollsey (multi-colored) and Ms. Toyloy (yellow) in the evening gown competition.          Miss Curtis (blue suit #4), Ms. Ostrowsky (#4), and Ms. Pavlenko (#7) in swimwear of their own choosing           After a brief intermission the cast returned to stage for the presentation of the special awards of the evening. These honors qualify the winners for their respective state pageants. Miss Photogenic went to Kathleen Patton (USA) and Miss Amity went to Benecia Toyloy.      Without further delay it was time to announce the results  starting with the Teen USA division: 1st Runner-Up Miss West Florida Teen USA is Rachel Collins The new Miss West Coast Teen USA is Morgan Lucas! 4th Runner-Up is Angela Maglione 3rd Runner-Up is Kersti Cottrell 2nd Runner-Up is Danielle Pierce 1st runner-up is Signe Ashley Thomas The new Miss Cape Coral Teen USA 2008 is Maicie Clark!         Maicie Clark is Miss Cape Coral Teen USA & Morgan Curtis is the new Miss West Coast Teen USA         Ms. Toyloy is Miss Cape Coral USA 2009         Then the Miss USA contestants moved to center stage for their results: 1st Runner-Up Miss West Florida USA is Kathleen Patton The New Miss West Coast USA is Anastasia Pavlenko! 4th runner up is Amanda Shattuck 3rd runner up is Lis Chimaras 2nd runner up is Jessica Woollsey 1st runner-up is Marcel Ostrowsky The new Miss Cape Coral USA 2009 is Benecia Toyloy!           Anastagia Pavlenko is Miss West Coast USA         Congratulations to the entire Cape Coral delegation on winning their titles and representing Lee County at this years state pageants. Congratulations to Pageant Director Suzi.Hosfeld and her family and wonderful volunteers on this outstanding pageant. Also congratulations on the conclusion of their competition year! Next on The Road to Hollywood is a trip back to South Florida as we venture South on The Palmetto Expressway for Miss Miami Gardens USA on Saturday night and north on I-95 for Miss Treasure Coast USA & Teen USA this Sunday.
