Miss Miami USA &  Miss Miami Teen USA April 14, 2007   Judge's eye view of the opening     The Road to Miami visited The Capital of The America’s as a highly competitive Miss Miami USA Pageant with fifteen delegates awaited. Florida International Universities Anne Wolfe Theater hosted the seventh Miss Miami USA Pageant, which is one of the original six prelims and carries on the tradition in Florida’s largest city. An enthusiastic crowd came to cheer on the eight Miss USA and seven Miss Teen USA delegates.       Miss Florida USA 1998 Jamie Converse Estrada was the evenings host     The both shows started with the delegates introducing themselves to the audience and judges. Being it was Miami-Dade the color of choice was black as each group showed off their favorite black dress during the self-introduction openings. After the openings it was time to introduce our Mistress of Ceremonies, Miss Florida USA 1998 Jamie Converse-Estrada who with assistance from Miss Miami USA 2007 Meg Perkins and Miss Miami Teen USA Alexandra Montesino.       Ms. Piwko introduces herself to the audience and judges       The Miami Teen USA delegates Interview Competition was onstage with three questions from their bio and then a random question from the ceremonial fish bowl. The Miami USA delegates competed in The Interview Competition in panel style judging prior to the evenings show. Both swimsuit competitions featured swimwear provided by Newport News Swimwear and jewelry by Bijoux Terner Jewelry. Then it was everyone’s favorite The Evening Gown Competition was up next. Fashion was on display as the delegate competed in gowns of their own choosing.           Miss Santos (green), Ms. Piwko (white) and Ms. Rivera-Agudo in Evening Gowns of their own selection.       Ms. Wunderlich (Blue), Ms. Reid (white) and Ms. Quesada (red) in Swimwear     After the traditional final speeches and walks were presented by both Miss Montesino and Ms. Perkins that were very touching. Then it was time for the specials award of the evening with the winners qualify for state, starting with the results of The Miss Miami Teen USA Division: Miss Congeniality - Ivis Vega Miss Photogenic - Jillian Wunderlich Miss Spirit - Maricarmen Santos   Then the final results for Miss Miami Teen USA: The 3rd Runner-up is Ivis Vega The 2nd Runner-up is Maricarmen Santos The 1st Runner-up is Devora Willa Miss Miami Teen USA 2008 is Jillian Wunderlich   After the first title of the evening was awarded it was time to feature the Miss Miami USA results: Miss Congeniality - Kourtney Gallego Miss Photogenic - Marnie Reid Miss Spirit - Jimena Ordonez     Miss Wunderlich is the new Miss Miami Teen USA!       Christie Quesada is Miss Miami USA 2008     Then the Miss Miami USA Results were read: The 3rd Runner-up is Cristina Rivera-Agudo The 2nd Runner-up is Kourtney Gallego The 1st Runner-up is Michelle Piwko Miss Miami USA 2008 is Christie Anne Quesada       The finalists of Miss Miami Teen USA        The Miss Miami USA state qualifiers       What a great evening of pageantry! Congratulations to both Ms. Wunderlich and Ms. Quesada who now go to state representing the Magic City of Miami. Congratulations also goes to the Around Florida USA team led by “The Dean of Preliminary Pageants” Don Steere along with Pageant Director Shannon Ford who ran one great show. Job well done! Now the Road To Hollywood ventures North on I-75 to Hillsborough County and The Tampa USA Super Pageant.        Team Miami USA heading to state!
