Orange County/City Beautiful Pageant Weekend

The Road to Hollywood returns for the second week to Orlando as Citrus Productions presented the titles of Orange County and Central Florida. Four titles were at stake Sunday afternoon as the sixteen delegates in the Miss USA Division and the fourteen delegates in the Teen USA division gathered at The Hilton at the Walt Disney World Resort.

 

The evening started with a high energy opening dance number with the Teen USA delegates in jeans with white tops while the Miss USA delegates wored black tops with jeans. After the dance number the delegate then gave an introductory speech that was scored by the judges. The it was time to meet the host for the evening, Miss Florida Teen USA 2006 Jennifer Wooten who greeted the audience and then set the scene for the evening.

Up first was the swimsuit preliminary competition. The delegates were presented in one or two-piece suits of their own choosing. The swimsuit winner’s as judged by the fitness award were Brooke Milner in the Teen USA division while Kendra Waller won in the Miss USA division.

 

Between competitions the audience was entertained by Sarah Howell, who is the Little Miss Citrus titleholder in the under nine age group. Miss Wooten and Miss Tampa USA Heather Johnson greeted the return of the delegates in the Evening Gown as the delegates style, grace and fashion sense were on display for the judges and audience. Then it was time for the tabulations for the final results.

This years judging pane included: Rhonda Fontaine, Mortgage Broker and pageant contestant ; Robert Fontaine, Entertainment Agent; Amanda Mitell, Miss Vermont USA 2005; Darcy Howe, Registered Nurse and member of the statewide Alzheimers Association; Tim Barnett, National Account Representative for Computer Associates; and Chamanda Buris, Children’s Book Author.

After some special performances it was time to announce the winners. The first awards were presented to Miss Photogenic as each group had three finalists as the Teen USA finalists were Brooke Milner, Brandi Wines and Chelsie Wunderlich while the USA Photogenic finalists were Jacquelyn Bick, Shawna Dennis and Summer Leigh. The winners were Chelsie Wunderlich (Teen USA) and Jacquelyn Bick (Miss USA). The Spirit Ward went to Dana Matthews (Teen USA) and Megan Trofholz (Miss USA) These award winners are now eligible for the state competitions.

 

 

With the reigning Miss Central Florida Teen USA and later Miss Florida Teen USA reading the results in The Miss Orange County/Central Florida Teen USA division.

Congratulations to all of the winners in The Orange County/Central Florida Pageant Weekend!  Kudos to Pageant Directors Michael Galanes and his Citrus Productions Staff on a great pageant! The Road To Hollywood now takes a week off and then heads east on I-4 as next stop sees the inaugural Miss Plant City USA Pageant. See everyone in two weeks in Eastern Hillsboro County!
