Miss Florida USA Faces

What a crazy weekend it was for our dedicated reporter. Thursday started the fun with a charity fashion show featuring several former Miss USA state titleholders as well as 42 traveling Miss Teen USA 2008 delegates. Friday saw us in Las Vegas attending the Miss USA Pageant rooting on our Miss Florida USA Jessica Rafalowski. We had so much fun spending a pageant week with several of our pageant family and have the pictures to prove it. Posted are shots from both the afternoon dress rehearsal and evening show and post pageant party.

Saturday night we caught the redeye back home to attend the second annual Miss Pompano Beach USA Pageant at Pompano Citi Center right off of Sample and Federal Highway in Northern Broward County. Under the guidance of Pageant Director Dana Klein and her trusty volunteers it was a very nice afternoon with some tough competition. This year the pageant was moved in doors but still had a festive feel to it.

Next week we head north to Gainesville for this years edition of Miss North Central Florida USA. Look for pictures, reports and videos from this weekends featured pageant. Until then enjoy what our paparazzi brought back!

The City of Cape Coral has taken the Miss Cape Coral USA and Miss Cape Coral Teen USA girls under its wings and kept them busy at Grand Openings, parties and lunch with the Mayor. Seems Cape Coral has caught the pageant bug!

Miss Cape Coral USA-Benecia Toyloy and Miss Cape Coral Teen USA-Macie Clark have lunch with the Mayor of Cape Coral who was also a judge at the 1st Miss Cape Coral USA pageant.

- Kudos to Miss Sunset Place Teen USA 2009 Vania Pedraja, Miss Miami Tropic Teen 2008 Danielle McCrimmon and Junior Miss Miami Tropics Teen 2008 Kristen Sabina as they were the featured readers at Simon Mall’s Kidget’s Club this past Saturday. Sunset Place’s courtyard proved to be a beautiful background as our titleholders entertained by reading books and leading some fun games for the children. Way to be role models for our young children ladies!

- Kudos to Brookell Barber Miss Alachua County Teen USA 2009 who volunteered her afternoon to assist the Kids' Art Jungle at The Gainesville Spring Arts Festival. One of the three largest annual area events it was a time for local artists to gather to display their art and talent. Miss Barber assisted the children create artwork of their own. Way to get involved on a local level Brookell!
