It was a lovely evening
this past Friday night as over thirty delegates and their families attended a
family and delegate dinner at Mama Mia’s on Young Circle. With the 2008 Miss
Florida Teen USA Pageant delegates arriving for the www.PageantDiva.com
Seminar the next afternoon it was the perfect time to get the ladies together
for fun and friendship and that is what Downtown Hollywood is known for!
Italian, sushi and world
class garlic rolls were highlighted in an all you can eat buffet that had all
the girls returning for seconds. The evening was a great time for the
contestants to meet each other as well as the parents to meet their
contemporaries. It was a great time….so much fun we have pictures and video!

» ArtsPark Concert Saturday Night
It started out as a great idea. Have our delegates meet at our new ArtsPark in Downtown Hollywood and enjoy a free concert featuring Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame Member ‘The Staples Singers”. We had a group of seats in the middle and the first act Myra Epps was fantastic until…the rains came. The remnants of Tropical Storm Gabrielle made the evening a washout. But we did get some fun pictures before the skies opened up.

Kudos to Miss Sarasota Teen USA Brianna
Lupo 2007; Miss Florida Sunshine Teen USA 2007 Brianna Scott; and Erica Beltre
Miss Citrus USA 2007 were honored by The
Chamber of Commerce in Fort Myers this past week. The chamber held a luncheon
and our titleholders were the guests of honor, a wonderful way to do some
power networking! Way to get involved in your business community Brianna,
Brianna and Erica.

Did You Know that Team Naples Teen USA - Samantha Misener, Miss
Naples Teen USA and Emily Provenza, Miss Collier County Teen USA were the
special - and youngest ever- guests of Fox-4 Morning Blend TV show recently.
The girls talked about their experience participating in pageants and also
shared their very own beauty secrets! They
also have been invited back throughout the year. Way to be local celebrities
Emily and Samantha!

» Former Miss Universe is Cat Woman!
The magazine's editor, Alison
Veness-McGourty, said: "Jennifer may have turned down the role in Pink
Panther . . . so we set about transforming her into something of a
pussycat." The eight-page fashion spread includes this photograph in
which Hawkins wears a custom-made rubber catsuit.
Hawkins also is featured wearing a pink georgette party frock and a leopard-print cossie. The TV host's hectic schedule forced her to turn down the offered lead role in the film. Australia’s Nine and Seven TV networks are currently battling to sign her long-term.

Our
POTW Committee huddled late last night as a group and chose to reward a
country as pageant crazy as our Sunshine State. Yesterday in Venezuela
business closed early in preparations for the evening’s national
championship. So in a tight vote our group selected this picture of Dayana
Mendoza after being crowned Miss Venezuela 2007 in Caracas September 13, 2007.
