Hollywood Arts Park Opening
It
was a big day in our host city of Hollywood’s history and we were there!
Hollywood's ArtsPark at Young Circle officially celebrated it’s grand
opening this past Friday. Envisioned as the city's centerpiece and a catalyst
for the redeveloped downtown, the spiffed-up park was the site for three days
of festivities.
An opening ceremony was followed by a Chinese dragons parade. The grand finale featured the unveiling of a butterfly sculpture created by artist Romero Britto. Of course our 2008 titleholders were all over the festivities!

Weekend activities include belly dancers, art displays, laser light shows and
numerous musical performers, including the Hollywood Philharmonic and Latin
Grammy winner Nestor Torres, who played opening night. There was even a steel
pan band in the mix. Thank you to all twenty of our titleholders who attended
our “Pageant Convention” as the master of ceremonies described our
turnout!

Miss
Pembroke Pines USA
After taking the Red Eye back from Los Angeles and Miss USA it was time to hit The Road To Hollywood for the third annual Miss Pembroke Pines USA Pageant. Team Halavin finished their four pageant Broward run with a well run and fun pageant! Country Western was the theme as it was cowboy hats and jeans all around. Notice how hat’s and tiara’s can mix!

Country Western Themes are always fun!
