Miss Florida USA Faces

“At some stage, I’m going to take some time off to chill with my girlfriends and family.” Since being crowned Miss Universe in 2004, the former Newcastle cheerleader rose quickly to stardom securing many advertising deals and modeling contracts. One of those included being the face for Lux Body Washes, following in the footsteps of former Lux girls Sophia Loren, Linda Evangelista and Sarah Jessica Parker.

This year her celebrity grew further after featuring on the Seven Network reality show Dancing With The Stars. Hawkins’ latest make-up contract stacks her against other Covergirls including Molly Sims, Christie Brinkley and Queen Latifah and she said she had considered the contract with care.

Model, actress and former Miss USA (1996) Ali Landry hosted the Kenneth Cole fashion show on Tuesday at Caesars Palace Las Vegas.

- Kudos to Alicia Castellano, Miss Pembroke Pines Teen USA, Lindsay Shockey, Miss Pembroke Pines USA, and Monique Gutierrez, Little Miss Pembroke Pines HP. They met with Pembroke Pines Mayor Frank Ortis and upon his recommendation were appointed to the Arts and Culture Committee. The titleholders also were VIP’s at the cities 4^th of July celebration. Way to be involved in your community Alicia, Lindsay and Monique!

- Kudos goes to Mary Tomlinson, Miss Tallahassee Teen USA 2007 in her efforts to raise money for the American Heart Association. Check out the flyer below:

The Picture of The Week Committee took a sentimental turn this week. With all of the great pageant pictures to choose from our lot decided to go back to where the year all started and feature the crowning picture of our wonderful Miss Florida USA 2006 Cristin Duren. A year where she helped so many charities and had such a great Miss USA result we thought you would enjoy venturing back to last summer in Hollywood.
