»The Fifth Annual www.PageantDiva.com Miss Florida USA Seminar Day

It was a full day of pageantry secrets and tips as for the fifth year, the Miss Florida USA Seminar Day was presented for the benefit of the delegates. Hosted by The Hollywood Production Center in Hollywood, the soundstages were full of aspiring Miss Florida USA’s as preliminary titleholders and at-large delegates were in attendance. After a meet and greet it was time to hit the soundstages for the days presentation.

»The Seminar:
The day started out with self-introductions from the delegates, friends and staff standing up and greeting everyone. Up first was the unveiling of the years state pageant schedule. Each event was described and attire discussed. Then a video tour of the world class Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa so the attendees could visualize the lavish treatment in store. Co Pageant Director Rachel Uziel and Pageant Producer Mary Lou Gravitt then reviewed the Interview competition and the audience got a peak at Melissa’s winning introduction speech from last years competition. Pageant interview guru Don Baker then gave a few words to the delegates followed by a reprise from Rachel and Mary Lou reviewing competition gowns and swimsuits. Then we brought back Jamie Converse Estrada (Miss Florida USA 1998) who had all the ladies taking notes as she reviled many pageant tips and secrets. The day ended with our Miss Florida USA Melissa Witek giving her perspective of both Miss USA and Miss Florida USA with the aspiring titleholder hanging on every word.

Kudos to this years Florida's Outstanding Teen 2005 Sierra Minott; She is a
dancer who represented Southwest Florida in this past weekends pageant at The Polk Theater on Florida Avenue in Lakeland. Congratulations to Miss Minott as she will be known as Florida at the national pageant this summer in Orlando. Here’s a picture with Heather Mowry; Miss Ft. Myers USA 2006 and Florida’s Outstanding Teen.

Did You Know that our web designer of the past three years Esteban Medaglia is leaving us for Canada and the winter based city of Ottawa. Not only was he our web presence but he also was a key member of the production crew and the cameraman/director of our Behind The Scenes tapes. However he will continue to design the website from the great white north! Good luck and we will miss you Esteban!
