Welcome to another edition of YOUR Miss Florida USA & Miss Florida Teen USA Magazine. YOUR information source for everything pageantry in the Sunshine State. After ten months and forty nine pageants we have made it to the final weekend as we conclude the season with a record fifty-one competitions. The record setting season concludes with events this Memorial Day Weekend in Miami Gardens and Miami Beach. While we watch the results in Florida our Karina Brez is representing in Las Vegas as festivities kicked off on Monday as we begin our daily reports from the Desert. This is the only state specific blog on the internet and a must read as you prepare for the June 3^rd National Championships we call Miss USA.

In World Pageant News we have a NAFTA based report as we go north for Miss Canada Universe and then south for Miss Paraguay. In our Florida USA News we have results from this weekend as well as all you need to know to attend Miss Miami Gardens USA and Miss Miami Beach USA. » Miss Canada Universe

TORONTO - Sahar Biniaz, of Vancouver, has been crowned Miss Universe Canada. The final chapter in the highly publicized pageant came to an end at the Bluma Appel Theatre in downtown Toronto late Saturday night.

Model Jenna Talackova may not have been named Miss Universe Canada, but she still made history as the first transgendered female to compete in the contest. The 6-foot-1 blonde was the recipient of one of four "Miss Congeniality" titles in the contest.

Competing alongside 62 other contestants, the 23-year-old was selected as one of the Top 12 finalists but wasn¹t a contender in the final five. Adwoa Yamoah, of Calgary, was first runner-up. The competition was in the international spotlight after Talackova was initially ousted from the contest after it was learned she started life as a male.

The Vancouver native had failed to mention in her pageant application that she wasn't a "naturally born" female. After worldwide furor over the model¹s expulsion, competition owner Donald Trump reinstated Talackova. She underwent gender reassignment surgery in 2010 to become the female that she is today. Biniaz, meanwhile, will go on to compete for the ultimate crown in the International Miss Universe Competition. The host city has yet to be announced.

» Miss Paraguay 2012

The finale of Miss Paraguay 2012 was held at the Sheraton Asuncion Hotel in Asuncion on May 18, 2012. Miss Paraguay 2012 final results saw Egni Analía Almirón Eckert crowned Miss Universe Paraguay 2012. The beauty from Asuncion is 24 years old and stands 1.83m. She will represent Paraguay in Miss Universe 2012 this December.

Miss Juno Beach USA & Miss Juno Beach Teen USA

The Road to Hollywood made its first of four stops this weekend on the Gold Coast for the inaugural Miss Juno Beach USA & Miss Juno Beach Teen USA Pageants. Set up in a fashion show setting before a sellout crowd at The Palm Beach Gardens Double Tree Hotel’s Grand Ballroom. The show started with the three Miss Juno Beach USA contestants and seven Miss Juno Beach Teen USA contestants hit the stage in their red (USA) and pink (Teen USA) opening cocktail dresses for a rousing dance number complete with flying props and the pageant was on!

The delegates were introduced by the hostesses for the evening Isabella Martinez, Miss Gold Coast Teen USA 2013 and Donna Marie Smith, Miss Palm Beach Gardens USA 2013. The traditional competitions onstage continued the evening. Onstage Interviews followed by Swimwear and Evening Gowns of the delegates choosing was the order of the evening.

After a brief intermission it was time to announce the results starting with The Teen USA Division:

What a great pageant it was as Francia Lamus and the True Royal Beauty Pageant Team deserve congratulations on an outstanding pageant! Also congratulations to Miss Deodolchow; Miss Babiolakis and Ms. Gilbert on their titles and entries to state in Hollywood! But this is only the first of four pageants this weekend as “The Road to Hollywood” now heads cross state to Collier County for our eighth Miss Naples USA + Teen USA events then down south to Miss Florida Keys USA + Teen USA for our southernmost pageant in the United States, and that is just Saturday!

The Road to Hollywood visited Southwest Florida for one last time this season for the eight edition of the Miss Naples USA & Teen Pageants. It was quite an evening of afternoon of Pageantry as Blanca Nieves and her volunteer team presented a great show with some strong competition. The Theater at Edison College Naples hosted the eight Miss Naples Teen USA and six Miss Naples USA delegates as the event was standing room only and excitement was in the air as the pageantry the Miss USA way returned to Collier County.

Hosted by local personality Christina Apkarian and Telemundo personality , the delegates hit the stage as each delegate presented themselves to the audience and judges with insight into their careers and education during the self-introductions. It was onto the traditional pageantry competitions of onstage interviews, swimsuits and evening gowns. The swimwear was of the delegates choosing while the evening gown segment featured the delegates fashion sense on parade.

When the final delegate completed her presentation it was time to get down to the business and announce the results for Miss Naples Teen USA:

Our first Miss Collier County Teen USA 2013 is Abby Lynn Arnold!

What a great pageant and wonderful return to Naples. Congratulations go to Mrs. Nieves and her team of volunteers and staff as they put together a very professional and well run event! Also congratulations to Miss Arnold, Miss Macdonough and Ms. Swoyer on representing their region at state. The Road to Hollywood returns to action Sunday as we conclude our four pageant weekend with our visit to West Miami Dade County for the fourth edition of Miss Hialeah USA and Teen USA as its now down to three pageants as the season is closing for the pageant year 2013!

Miss Hialeah USA Pageant

The Road to Hollywood” returned to West Miami-Dade and Florida’s fourth largest city for the fourth annual Miss Hialeah USA and Teen USA Pageants. Run by our friends at The Miss Miami Tropics Scholarship Pageant, Inc., this competitive event saw a large number of entries as well as enthusiastic crowd awaiting an exciting afternoon of pageantry. The Miami Merchandise Mart Double Tree Hotel hosted the pageant featuring eleven Miss Teen USA and six Miss USA delegates competing for the title.

The evening was hosted by Pageant Director Desiree Sardo along with The Hialeah USA 2011 Team of Michelle Aguirre and Nicolle Rodriguez who kept the evening very lively. Up first was an opening number featuring the entire cast in bright and colorful opening outfits followed by self-introductions by our delegates in the Brickell and Hialeah divisions. The Swimsuit Competition began the competition followed by Evening Gowns and then onstage interview questions that gained insight into their ability to speak publicly.

After the final balloting it was time to feature the Miss Hialeah Teen USA results:

What a great afternoon of pageantry! Congratulations to Miss Perez, Miss Montandon, Miss Villanueva; Ms. Urivazo and Ms. Gonzalez who now go to state representing Hialeah and Brickell. A big congratulation’s also goes to the Miami Tropics Scholarship Pageant team led by Executive Producer Rose Martinez along with Pageant Director and daughter Desiree Sardo who ran one great show. Job well done! Now the Road To Hollywood ventures North on I-95 just a bit to Miami Gardens on Saturday and for Miss Miami Beach USA this upcoming Sunday as after ten months of qualifying we finally conclude our Road to Hollywood!

It also honors the city where Miss USA and Miss Universe took their first steps during the 1960’s and 1970’s. The final pageant of our 2013 Road to Hollywood season has a 6:00pm start.
