» Miss Finland Universe the Day After

Viivi Pumpanen, a 21-year-old student from Vantaa, bagged the grand title and was crowned with a tiara on Sunday evening. Speaking on YLE’s breakfast programme on Monday, Pumpanen said she was surprised by her victory as she is considered relatively short for a beauty pageant contestant at 167 cm. “I’ve dreamt of becoming Miss Finland since I was eight years old, and now I’ve achieved my dream,” said Pumpanen, who’s evoked a girl-next-door image in the media. Pumpanen says she hopes to engage with everyday people during her one-year reign, adding that she hopes to be a queen of the people.

“It would be great to work with children and youths,” she says. Action Plan for Miss Universe Competition as Ms. Pumpanen, who was chosen first as Miss Helsinki last year, will represent Finland in the Miss Universe competition next summer. “I plan to study previous American and Venezuelan contestants who've been successful,” explains Pumpanen.

» Job Opportunity! Looking for Titleholders

Recently we were made aware of great employment opportunities for our titleholders. In the “new economy” everyone is looking for ways to improve their income and here is a great chance to start a very rewarding and financially lucrative career!

IST Management Services, Inc. is the fastest growing, privately held Management Company in the U.S. The company provides total office solutions including the management of copy, mail, imaging, supply, records, reception, desktop publishing, shipping & receiving and other administrative services for companies. And they have had great success matching titleholders from around the country with employers.

If this sounds of interest to you, kindly respond via email to telair@aol.com or via phone to (954) 924-4949. I would be happy to set up an appointment with our IST friends. Just another way we try to help our Miss Florida USA Family!

Turn your interview skills into a profession!

With a last week off before the season starts we thought we would go back to this past crowning’s for Miss Florida USA and Miss Florida Teen USA. Repeats are rare on this channel but these moments still give us Goosebumps still. So lets head back to this summer and fall at Bailey Concert Hall as memories were being made these wonderful nights.

Leaving a Legacy

Before Bounce came to be, each member was a background dancer. “We all had different styles. Some of us knew popping, some locking, some tap; we even had the world champion in Lindy Hop. Some of us are trained in ballet and jazz, some are self-taught. We were a mess of dancers with different styles.”

The story unravels as this unique Swedish dance group took their “mess” and put it on stage to prove that hip hop can go beyond backing up an artist. To date, Bounce has created nine full-length productions, drawing inspiration from movies, pop-culture, politics, environmental issues and society trends. Their biggest hit, “Insane in the Brain”, questions the definition of “normal” in a hip hop version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo´s Nest.

Besides innovative themes, Bounce is leaving a legacy. How are they doing it? One tip is with their flash mob MJ tribute, snagging 8 million YouTubehits. “More than 30 cities followed our footsteps and put together their ownMJ flash mobs.”

They then got the request to become an honorary VIP dot in the Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait.” Bounce performers took the lead and joined celebrity VIPs such as Brian Friedman, and millions of MJ fans through the most-visited and highly celebrated interactive portrait website.

“Having a MJ VIP Dot in the Michael Jackson Tribute Portrait is where it’s at.” Fredrik’s not stopping at VIP status. “I want to show people that we cantake a small step towards a better world, which I believe was one of Michael’s main goals,” he added.

Moral of the Story: Follow the leader and Bounce your way to your own Legacy.
