Welcome to another edition of YOUR Miss Florida USA & Miss Florida Teen USA Magazine. YOUR information source for everything pageantry in the Sunshine State. Weekend number two of our August Summer Pageant Blitz had us in Ft. Lauderdale for a very competitive Miss Atlantic Coast USA + Teen USA Pageants. Now we head to a new territory for our pageant system as we visit The Space Coast for our first of two visits this year. Here we come Melbourne as we will plant the Miss USA flag in this fast growing territory.


World Pageant News continues our focus on Miss Universe as they prepare in Las Vegas for Monday Nights grand finale as seen on NBC. In our Miss Florida USA News we have all the results from Sunday evening plus all you need to know to join us for Miss Space Coast USA + Teen USA. » Miss Universe Judges Announced

Donald Trump announced this morning the celebrities and experts who will judge his 2010 Miss Universe Pageant, which airs live at 6 p.m. PST Monday on NBC from Mandalay Bay.

Mindfreak magician Criss Angel, who appears nightly in Cirque du Soleil's Believe at the Luxor, leads the panel The other VIPs are actor, producer and writer William Baldwin; percussionist and drummer Sheila E; MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall; 2010 Olympic figure skating champion and Dancing With the Stars finalist Evan Lysacek; Oscar-nominated actor Chazz Palminteri, who recently starred in A Bronx Tale at The Venetian; singer and actress Chynna Phillips; Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actress Jane Seymour; and supermodel Nikki Taylor.

"When you combine the world's most beautiful women, bikinis, a rock star and a panel of top celebrity judges, you have a recipe for success," Trump said early today in a media release. "The Miss Universe Pageant is a worldwide phenomenon, and you won't want to miss this show!"

"We look forward to hosting Monday's 2010 Miss Universe Pageant at Mandalay Bay," said Jim Murren, chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International. "The Mandalay Bay team, and the larger MGM Resorts family, stands ready to deliver a stellar event for all of the participants and for the worldwide audience."

As previously announced, the hosts of the show are Poison singer and Celebrity Apprentice Season 3 winner Bret Michaels and Today co-host and correspondent Natalie Morales. Additionally, John Legend & The Roots will perform during the evening-gown competition, and during the swimsuit competition, Cirque du Soleil's Viva Elvis will perform a medley of songs from the hit spectacular presented nightly at Aria in MGM's CityCenter.

2009 Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez will crown her successor at the conclusion of the live broadcast. During her reign, she has traveled around the world as an advocate for HIV/AIDS education and awareness. The new Miss Universe will continue this work throughout her reign.

Eighty-three contestants, including 2010 Miss USA Rima Fakih, compete in the television event in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview. Tickets to the Miss Universe Preliminary and Finals competitions at Mandalay Bay still are available.

Miss Atlantic Coast USA & Miss Atlantic Coast Teen USA


August 15, 2010  

Our pageant tour of the sunshine state had its final South Florida stop of the August Mini Pageant Season with the inaugural edition of the Miss Atlantic Coast USA & Miss Atlantic Coast Teen USA Pageants. Set up in for a fashion show setting before an enthusiastic crowd at The El Palacio Hotel as the enthusiastic and loud crowd greeted the three Miss Atlantic Coast USA contestants and eight Miss Atlantic Coast Teen USA contestants. The delegates presented themselves with introductions in either red (Miss USA), white (Miss Teen USA) or pink (Little Sisters) opening wardrobes.


Then Pageant Director Rafael Gallego introduced the hostesses for the evening Miss Broward County Teen USA 2011 Natasha Cooper and Miss Broward County USA 2011 Megan Small. They lead the delegates through the traditional competitions onstage and continued the evening’s great energy. Swimwear and Evening Gowns of the delegates choosing was the order of the evening. Then it was a time for the delegates to tackle the random interview questions onstage.


After several talented performing acts including our former Miss Ft. Lauderdale USA Kourtney Gallego it was time for the cast to return to the stage for final announcements. The photogenic award went to Jessica Kennedy and Anastagia Ferguson while Miss Ferguson was awarded Miss Amity.



Then it was time to announce the results starting with The Teen USA Division:

3rd Runner Up is Melina Rodriguez

2nd Runner Up is Anastasia Ferguson  

1st Runner Up is Meghan Marks

Our new Miss Pembroke Pines Teen USA 2011 is Lauren Hernandez

The first ever Miss Atlantic Coast Teen USA 2011 is Connor Boss!


Then it was on to announce the results in the Miss USA division; 

2nd Runner Up is Natalie Carbonell

1st Runner Up is Dubraska Guevara

Miss Atlantic Coast USA 2011 is Jessica Kennedy!

Atlantic Coast Teen USA!




What a great pageant it was as Rafael Gallego and The Crowning in Excellence Team who deserved a round of congratulations on producing an outstanding pageant! Also congratulations to Miss Hernandez, Miss Boss and Ms. Kennedy on their titles and entries to state in Hollywood! This concludes our South Florida edition of our August season, now its North on I-95 as we head to Melbourne and revive the Miss Space Coast USA and Teen USA titles.

In the upcoming months we will announce affordable and desirable options for everyone to learn from the greatest minds in pageantry. And because we are FLORIDA so many people want to visit and meet our pageant family because what is happening in our state is truly unique and is recognized throughout the Pageant World. We kick off the series with a bang as we announce the Winter Sessions of our Seminar Series…   


Saturday September 25th spend the afternoon with the Stand Out Productions Team of Miss USA 2005 Chelsee Cooley and AT Dunn for an informative day learning the pageant secrets that make them some of the brightest minds in pageantry. All on the soundstages of The Hollywood Production Center and for an all inclusive fee of $100 including an autograph session and meet the speaker event after the seminar. This will give you the first hand secrets of what it takes to win the crown as only a select few can offer. They will also be available all day Sunday for individual sessions. They are also the official Interview Consultants for several states who seek the competitive edge to win the title.  


We also are in negotiations with international superstars of pageantry for our Spring Series beginning in February and lasting through the year. It’s the closest anyone in the country gets to all the fun and excitement that adds up to the Sunshine State Championship.
