Team Boca Raton USA 2007

The Road To Hollywood ventured north on I-95 to Palm Beach County and for a highly competitive Miss Boca Raton USA Pageant with eight delegates competing for the two titles. The West Boca Raton Community High School theater hosted the forth version of the pageant as five Miss USA and three Miss Teen USA delegates competed for one of the last tickets to state.

The evening started by introducing the reigning titleholders Ashley Shannon, Miss Boca Raton USA 2006 and Barbara Cosme, Miss Boca Raton Teen USA 2006. Then Miss Sunset Place USA 2007 Yazmin Navarro joined Ms. Shannon as the evenings hostesses. After setting the scene for the evenings competition it was time to bring out the delegates. The delegates introduced themselves to the audience. They had introduced themselves to the judges earlier in the day as panel interviews started the competition.

After an intermission it was time to bring the entire cast back to stage to announce the special awards that also qualify the winners for state. First was Miss Photogenic and the winners were Arianna Parchment (TUSA) & Dana Jo Alley (USA). Miss Amity went to Pam Rindone and finally it was the Peoples Choice Award and that awarded to Arianna Parchment (TUSA) & Dana Jo Alley (USA).

Then the final results were announced with Miss Boca Raton Teen USA being read first:

What a great evening of pageantry! Congratulations to Miss Boca Raton USA Director Jeanne Brander along with their outstanding group of volunteers ran a very nice pageant. Job well done! The Road to Hollywood finished the year with a grand finale pageant this Sunday afternoon. The City of Indialantic on the ocean in Brevard County hosted the second edition of Miss Space Coast USA and Miss Treasure Coast USA Pageants along with the first ever Miss Melbourne USA. Add the matching Miss Florida Teen USA preliminary titles and six young women compete for their tickets to state. Citrus Productions produced the spectacular afternoon of pageantry from The Crown Plaza Resort Grand Ballroom. The event was co-hosted by pageant producer Michael Galanes and Jennifer Nora.

The evening opened with the thirty-three Miss Teen USA delegates introducing themselves to the audience and judges. Soon followed the traditional pageant competitions. The first competition was in swimwear as the delegates competed in one or two-piece suits of their own choosing. Then it was time for the regal evening gown competition as fashion was on parade. Then the entire cast was called on-stage as it was time to announce the finalists that would continue the competition.

While the auditors were tabulating the final results, the special awards were presented in both categories. These ladies are now eligible for the state competition: Miss Amity Award- Amber Garrod (USA) and Chelsie Wunderlich (Teen USA); Miss Photogenic Award - Kimberly Anderson (USA) and Kara Whatley (Teen USA); Swimsuit Fitness Award – Jennifer Daugherty (USA) and Morgan Fehr (Teen USA)

Then the teen finalist were called in no particular scoring order. Each of these finalists qualify for the state pageant: Alycia Dean-Johns; Fajala O’dneal; Morgan Fehr; Kiley Hannon; Chelsey Petro; Samantha Murray; Alison Clark; Valerie Gonzalez; Dana Matthews; and Brandi Wines.

Then it was time to announce the results in The Space Coast Teen USA division:
4^th runner-up is Alycia Dean-Johns

3^rd runner-up is Chelsey Petro

2nd runner-up is Dana Matthews
1st runner-up is Alison Clark

With six titleholders gracing the stage it was clear that this was a special day for pageantry in Florida! A big congratulation’s goes to director Michael Galanes and Citrus Productions hard working volunteers who ran a great pageant. Good luck to all of our new titleholders and look forward to seeing them at state! A big thank you also goes to those who this year either competed, attended, volunteered or just enjoyed following the results on The Road to Hollywood as it’s now on to state as the road is officially closed! » Miss Florida USA Seminar Day Schedule Announced

The soundstages of The Hollywood Production Center will be packed with pageant contestants, as the sixth annual PageantDiva.com Miss Florida USA Seminar Day is next Saturday June 3^rd from 1:30 to 5:30pm! The mandatory attendance day is all about getting to know pageantry the Miss Florida USA way. Leading the way was the pageant staff along with Miss Florida USA 2006 Cristin Duren as well as several experts in the different elements of pageantry competition.

The afternoon is open to all of the Miss Florida USA delegates or those who are eligible to compete this summer. Parents and Preliminary Directors are also encouraged to attend as it takes a team to prepare for state. We will also be having side seminars and special guest speakers during this day committed to pageantry.

The doors open at 10:00am with experts from Regalia Fine Apparel as well as Co-pageant director Michael Galanes & Pageant Producer Mary Lou Gravitt who will allow on a first come-first served basis fittings and selection of our “Fashion Bug Second Look Outfit” which will be seen on all of the contestants during top 15 announcement and on-stage semifinalist interviews. Also pageant expert Anne Friedman will have a special seminar after the day to perfectly tune your interview and speaking skills. Regalia Fine Apparel will also be here all day for your last minute pageant shopping needs.

The seminar will take place between 1:30pm and 5:30pm with casual clothes suggested. It is on a working soundstage with a very active air-conditioning system so a sweater or jacket would be a suggestion. » JUNE PRETAPE WEEKEND

Swimsuits/Openings & A Canoe Ride

Thursday June 1^st

4:00pm – 7:30pm

Day number one of our four-day pretape session starts at Anne Kolb Nature Reserve on the Intracoastal waterways of Hollywood. All of the delegates will shoot their introductions and then their swimsuit montage segment in these beautiful surroundings. The end of the day features canoeing amongst the mangroves!

Friday June 2^nd

1:30pm – 8:00pm

Day number two includes one offers the delegates a chance to guide our viewers through the various fun places on Hollywood Beach! The fun includes roller-blading and bicycling on the world famous broadwalk and then hits the sandy beaches. The day begins with opening introductions and swimsuit montage modeling at The Diplomat Spa & Country Club. Then we model this year’s Regalia and FICA Prizes (Welcome back to Regalia as a clothes sponsor!) among the waterfalls and coral walkways.

After fun on the newly renovated broadwalk, the only pedestrian roadway that puts you between the beach and the shopping right on the sand. The day concludes with a trip south to The Hollywood Beach Band Shell as were are special guests at The Friday Night Live Concert Series. Our delegates will be introduced onstage and the camera’s will be rolling!

West Hollywood Concert Series

Saturday June 3^rd

7:00pm – 8:30pm

Want more pageantry after The Miss Florida USA Seminar Day? Then fun awaits at the very hometown event “The West Hollywood Concert Series”. On-camera lines await and everyone will be introduced onstage before the adoring hometown audience! Then good bar-b-q awaits as this should be a great way to continue the days fun.

In and amongst our beautiful host The Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa’s Tropical Pool we will combine the beautiful early morning light with the great backgrounds and of course our Miss Florida USA delegates. The result will be some spectacular video! Then after a great swimsuit modeling session lead by choreographer Vickie Davis we are off to the judging room for a “faux” judging session for the cameras. Then it’s time for an early wrap as it’s “get away day” so the session should be finished well before lunch.

Time To Get Wet - Swimwear For Men And Women

Stay calm. Don't panic and take a deep breath. Ready? Okay, today's subject is swimwear. No, really. It's not that bad. Our favorite is their navy, almost-Hawaiian print short with drawstring closure - simple, stylish and affordable, too.

The fifties' cut is still all the rage this season for the ladies. Get in on it with the Marilyn one-piece swimsuit from Harajuku. We can almost see Ms. Monroe in it now with its pleated-neck halter-top and plunging neckline. For bikini lovers, we dig the all white suit with rope-like ties from new label Serendipity. And for those who want to stand out from crowd there's designer Stephanie Hoos architectural collection with bare middles and peak-a-boo sides.

To be honest, we're not sweating the whole beachwear thing this year. We haven't done a sit-up in ages, but hey... the beach is one of the few places you can really let it all hang out and we do mean, all of it.
