Pageant number two on this Super Saturday saw The Road To Hollywood ventured south on I-75 for the inaugural Miss Southwest Florida USA & Miss Southwest Florida Teen USA Pageants. The title represents the region covered by Naples to Sarasota and saw the competition in Cape Coral at The Lake Kennedy Center. Hosted by Miss Ft. Meyers Teen USA 2006 Jillian Wunderlich it was the first time a Miss USA preliminary pageant has ventured into Lee County. Before the pageant started all of the delegates competed in the interview competition at The Kennedy Center. Then it was onstage for the remainders of the competition.

As soon as the votes were tabulated by the official auditor the results were handed to Ms. Wunderlich to read the judges results. Up first were the special awards for the pageant, all of which qualified the winners to the state pageant:

Miss Amity is Riley Nowell (Teen USA) and Jean Leifhelm (USA). Miss Photogenic was presented to Kendra Altemeye & Riley Nowell -tie (Teen USA) and Kristen Cutter (USA). While the Peoples Choice Awards went to Riley Nowel (Teen USA) and Kristen Cutter (USA).

Then Ms. Wunderlich called to the front of the stage The Teen USA delegates to read the results for the title of Miss Southwest Florida Teen USA:

4^th Runner Up is Lauren DeAngelo

3^rd Runner Up is Megan Mowrey.

2^nd Runner Up is Kendra Altemeyer.

1^st Runner Up is KeiAnna Bennett.

Miss Southwest Florida Teen USA 2006 is Riley Nowell!

Then it was time for The Miss USA Divisions results:

4^th Runner Up is Rachael Weston

3^rd Runner Up is Jacquelyn Faustina

2^nd Runner Up is Kristen Cutter

» Miss Gold Coast/Teen USA Welcomes You to Mardi Gras

The pageant family of Florida is invited to our version of Mardi Gras 2006. » Miss Gainesville USA and Miss Gainesville Teen USA

The weekends first stop on The Road to Hollywood visited a very Gator crazy Gainesville for the fourth Miss Gainesville USA and Teen USA Pageants. Under the direction of VS Dance, Inc and Shalyn Barnes, the pageant returned to Alachua County and was greeted by a very enthusiastic matinee crowd. The eight Miss USA and four Miss Teen USA delegates were ready for a spring afternoon of pageantry.

The special awards for the day were presented as each winner now qualifies for state in their area of competition. The People's Choice Award went to Megan Pitts. Miss Amity as chosen by the contestants is Rikki Klaus. The pageant photographer voted for Miss Photogenic and she is Whintey Tindell. Finally the
Pageantry Spirit Award went to Alyssa Anderson.

Prior to the presentations reigning Miss Gainesville USA Amanda Zitman and Miss Gainesville Teen USA Joy Russo had their tradition final speech and walk in recognition of these two outstanding titleholders.

Then it was time to announce the results, starting with The Teen USA division:
2nd Runner-up (tie): Amanda Howsare and Katherine Beauregard
1st Runner-up: Chelsea Rhoden
The new Miss Gainesville Teen USA 2007 is Kelly Roof!

Then the final results for the Miss Gainesville USA title were:
3rd Runner-up: Kendra Waller
2nd Runner-up: Chelsea Donovan
1st Runner-up: Rikki Klaus

» Miss North Miami USA

Saturday’s third stop on The Road To Hollywood took a trip south on I-75 for the inaugural Miss North Miami USA Pageant. Hosted by Miss Florida USA 2004 Kristen Berset it was the first time the 48^th Annual Miss North Miami Pageant had the Miss USA banner in this North Miami Dade tradition. Hosted by The North Miami Chamber of Commerce they have given over $130,000.00 to their contestants since 1965. The evening also had a unique spin as it was dinner and a pageant at The Miami Shores County Club. After a delicious dinner the audience was greeted by Miss Florida USA 2004 Kristen Berset and the pageant was underway!

During competition breaks we were entertained by 11 year old piano virtuoso Tylor Tyson; vocalist Savannah Schechter and dancer Danielle Mortimer who also volunteered her time as the pageant choreographer. To end the evening the traditional final walk was taken by Miss North Miami 1005 Jillian Reid. Then the envelope was handed to Ms. Berset to read the judges results:

» Miss West Broward USA & Miss West Broward Teen USA 2007

The Road To Hollywood ventured to it’s forth destination of the weekend in the rapidly growing city of Coconut Creek for the third annual Miss West Broward USA Pageant. Ten delegates competed for the two titles Sunday evening at The Township Center for Performing Arts. The hostess for the evening was Miss Florida USA 2004 Kristen Berset with some assistance by Florida Teen USA 2004 and Plantation native Anastagia Pierre who welcomed her hometown audience. The enthusiastic crowd then cheered on the seven Miss USA and three Miss Teen USA delegates in a high energy opening production number. Then Miss West Broward USA 2006 Sarah Callahan greeted the audience and then assisted with introductions for the Miss West Broward Teen USA division. That was followed by Miss West Broward USA 2006 Jennifer Olkininsky assisting the Miss West Broward USA division.

After calling the entire cast to retake the stage, the special awards of the evening were presented as these winners qualifiy for state. First was Miss Photogenic and the winners were Danyel Crecelius (WBTUSA) & Chelsea Korka (USA). Miss Amity went to Danyel Crecelius (WBTUSA) for her second award of the evening and Pamela Rindone (WBUSA).

In a pageant tradition it was time for Miss Callahan to take her last walk of her title before fans, friends and family. Then the final results were announced with Miss West Broward Teen USA being read first:

What a great evening of pageantry! Congratulations to Miss Pedique and Ms. Korka as they have a pass to state and Pageant Director Barbara Ewald along with her outstanding group of volunteers who ran an outstanding pageant. Job well done! Now the Road To Hollywood has one last weekend before it’s time to go to The Charm City of Baltimore for Miss USA! Palm Beach and Pensacola as we see everyone this Weekend!
