PRELIMINARY PAGEANT UPDATES!

» MISS JACKSONVILLE USA SUPER PAGEANTS

The Road to Hollywood ventured back to Jacksonville for the second time this season as the highly anticipated Miss Jacksonville USA super pageant took place on the campus of The University of North Florida. Jacksonville was one of the original six preliminary pageants and had the first crowned preliminary winner.

Hosted by Miss Florida USA Melissa Witek the Sunday afternoon pageant featured the traditional pageantry competitions with Saturday afternoon interviews followed by swimwear and evening gowns contested Sunday afternoon. After the competition the finalists for the pursuit of Miss Gainesville USA and Miss Jacksonville USA were announced: Jami Daniels; Lindsey Foos; Sherri Leaf; Allison Kreiger; Amanda Willis and Amanda Zitzman. All of the announced are now eligible for the state title.

Then it was time to award the special awards for the weekend, each of whom have qualified for the state pageants:

Teen Photogenic: Kelly Haffner
Miss Photogenic: Amanda Zitzman

People's Choice- Miss: Allison Kreiger
People's Choice - Teen: Chelsea Rhodin

Spirit Award - Teen: Joy Russo

After the announcements Miss Witek called the Miss Teen USA delegates to the front of the stage for the announcement of both Miss Gainesville Teen USA and Miss Jacksonville Teen USA. The results were as follows:

» MISS SPACE COAST USA PAGEANTS THIS WEEKEND:

Today is the final day to register to be the representative of The Space Coast at this years Miss Florida USA and Miss Florida Teen USA Pageants. The event will be a lovely afternoon of pageantry in historic Melbourne as The Henegar Center hosts the finest young women of the region. The pageant prizes include a membership in the Cocoa Beach Chamber of Commerce. This will be one active titleholder! » MISS DAYTONA BEACH USA ORIENTATION THIS SUNDAY:

Orientation will be held on Sunday afternoon May 1st at the Daytona Beach Community College Theatre. This is for both The Miss Daytona Beach USA and Miss Daytona Beach Teen USA contestants. The Teen USA contestants will need to bring a parent or guardian with you for the first hour or so of the Orientation. Once the information for parents is over they may then decide if they would like to stay or not.

In order for you to compete, we need the following on the day of Orientation:

Every week more delegates become eligible to compete at state.

The season started with qualifiers from the past year. All of each pageants top15 qualify

along with Miss Amity & Miss Photogenic. Each preliminary pageant qualifies delegates

as “at large” status with their finalist, amity, photogenic and peoples choice awards.
