Wednesday July 15

Live on NBC at The Westin Diplomat

The morning started very early as we had a 5:00am call for our Miss Miami Beach USA and Miss Ft. Lauderdale USA as we had a live “morning coffee” interview on the waterway at the Diplomat Landings. Our Ms. Hastey and Ms. Cohen handled the questions like champions and left the crew speaking on how impressive they were. The video was beautiful as the sun rose on our delegates. By 7:00am the set was wrapped and it was time for a group breakfast.

But it was not the only press interview we had today. The reigning Miss Florida USA 2010, Megan Clementi, visited the Local 10 studios Wednesday to talk about her experience has a contestant. The 25-year-old has traveled the state making appearances.

Clementi's first appearance after being crowned in 2009 was at the Local 10 studios. On Wednesday, she wrapped up her final appearance at the same place her reigning year began. "The thing about pageantry that people don't understand is it's all about the journey you go through. It's not about winning the title. It's about you growing as a person" said Ms. Clementi.

Rehearsal! Rehearsals! Rehearsals!

Day number two was all about preparing for the international broadcast on Saturday night. Director Andy Bamberger, Assistant Director John “J.B.” Best and choreographer Vickie Davis have the ladies looking fantastic during the first rehearsal day. The Convention Center of The Westin Diplomat provides the rehearsal space, as our delegates are focused on being the best Miss Florida USA show ever!

The Miss Florida USA Dining Series Pt. II - Girogio’s Grill on the Intracoastal

As a reward for the delegate’s hard work and effort was some amazing food at the world famous Giorgio’s Grill right on the Intracoastal Waterway of Hollywood, as they hosts our second night of The Miss Florida USA Dining Series. This outdoor indoor landmark venue has served President’s, Hollywood Stars and now our Miss Florida USA. The food was delicious and the setting was absolutely beautiful!

Miss Florida USA Fun Night

After a great dinner the girls are off to the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa for a night of fun, games and teamwork building as Jimmy Jam Productions designed a night just for them. This is definitely an event the young ladies will enjoy! Fun, games, cheerleading and frivolity was on the men as this is the highlight of the weekend for man. After fun and pageantry it’s off to bed as Thursday begins the competition.
