The
May Pretape Weekend continued of Friday as a great day of video taping and
pageantry continued the process of putting together a live television special
with fun segments. The 7:30am call for our five delegates and Miss Florida USA
2006 Cristin Duren as continued the opening introduction segment as well as
the cast wide swimsuit montage along with a promotional recruitment spot and
Hollywood Lifestyle segments.
The first location of the day was The Hollywood Marina as it was introductions in and around the beautiful sailing boats and docks. Ms. Duren opened the segment with a stand-up with walking choreography in the background. The four introductions were followed by matching swimsuit montage shots under the watchful eye of choreographer Vickie Davis. The Miss Florida USA titleholders in attendance throughout the day were: Jami Lynn Daniels (Miss West Coast USA); Amber Garrod (Stuart); Nichole Graham (Heartland USA); Danielle Roundtree (North Miami Beach USA); and Candice Smith (Emerald Coast USA).

The second location of the day had the ladies on the greens of The Hollywood Beach Golf and Country Club. The ladies channeled their inner Tiger Woods on amongst the natural beauty of this historic course. Way ahead of schedule the delegates returned to The Hollywood Production Center and the television soundstages. The delegates then were assigned lines for one of several Miss Florida USA promotional announcements.

We also promised the ladies culture during their trip to our host city so it was modern art at The Hollywood Art and Cultural Center. Featuring a fascinating show by female border Mexican artists it not only stimulated the mind but also made for some beautiful backgrounds. The final location was a ride to Hollywood Hills and The David Park Tennis Center. The William Sister’s had nothing on out tennis diva’s as it was a highly contested Miss Florida USA Open. In the end everyone had a blast and the home audience will be declared the winner’s with some fun video.

Up next is May Pretape Getaway Day. It’s time to go shopping and then a final farewell lunch at Nikki’s Marina as nobody likes to travel on an empty stomach! Especially when it’s the tres’ chic restaurant and nightclub that is internationally known as Nikki’s.
